Quotation Engineer

Our client based in Reading are looking for a Quotation Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. As the Quotation

Engineer you will be rresponsible for quoting works from customer enquiries and service/maintenance sheets.

Support to a team of engineers on knowledge and issues on sites. Ensuring that services and maintenance are in alignment

with the current and future needs of the business and its customers. Strive to improve quality of works being completed.


Responsibilities

  •  Complete quotations within a timely fashion.

  •  Help maintain a reduced backlog of quotations.

  •  Maintain a close working relationship with the Technical Manager to review and improve the department’s

  • aims and objectives.

  •  Maintain a close working relationship with the operations team to deliver service KPI’s.

  •  Ensure that service quality is being managed in accordance with the agreed processes.

  •  Report and escalate any service issues or customer complaints to the Technical Manager in a timely fashion,

  • ensuring that corrective action is taken where necessary.

  •  Motivate other team members to work as a team and then guide the team to achieve the goals that have

  • been set for them.

  •  Monitoring of engineer’s knowledge to ensure both service and maintenance are carried out correctly.

  •  Identification of strong, talented potential staff with both the functional and technical knowledge and skills

  • to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.

  •  To encourage the development of the team, ensuring employees are aware of their value to the

  • organisation.

  •  Dedicated to the provision of excellent Customer service. Meet the expectations and requirements of both

  • the internal and external customers, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers

  •  Any other duties in line with the role.

Essential Experience

  •  Previous experience in a customer facing environment

  •  Demonstrate a successful track record of achievement

  •  Demonstrate the ability to network with relevant groups

  •  Preferable time served within a technical environment such as Mechanical Engineering.

  •  Excellent communication skills

  •  Develop and manage a team atmosphere through hard work, tolerance and consistency, attempting to fulfil

  • projects with honesty and integrity.

  •  Ability to provide excellent customer service by meeting the expectations and requirements of both internal and

  • external customers.

Knowledge

  •  PC literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

  •  Must possess sound industry knowledge and have proven background through recognised apprenticeship or hold

  • similar qualification.

  •  Knowledge of the British Standard BSEN12845 and Factory Mutual regulations

  •  Full clean driving licence is preferred
